Background of Firm

Stefan/George Associates was founded in 1987 as a full service association management firm by Tom Stefan and Sande George. During Ms. George's eleven years lobbying with George R. Steffes, Inc., Stefan/George Associates was able to provide both association management and lobbying services by combining the skills of both firms. Upon opening the lobbying office of Stefan/George Associates in 1999, the company now includes the association management and lobbying functions under one roof.

The firm developed as a result of requests by clients for a management team capable of overseeing day-to-day association management, publication needs, event planning, grassroots organization and lobbying services. The firm’s partners believed their backgrounds could be effectively combined to assist associations in their efforts to develop a comprehensive presence in California. Those services are now also available to Stefan/George’s lobbying clients.
